A Brunch Focused on Building Mentoring Relationships

Hosted in partnership with Business Equity for Indy (BEI), the Mentor Matching Brunch brought together 40 Black young professionals and local business leaders at 16 Tech for an event focused on building meaningful mentoring relationships with Black professionals.

Mentors and mentees included leaders from Be Nimble, Black Onyx Management, Cummins, Eli Lilly & Co., Pacers Sports and Entertainment, United Way of Central Indiana, and more.

This event intentionally featured representatives from Black-led young professional organizations like The Exchange (Young Professionals within the Indianapolis Urban League), Indy Black Professionals, IndyHub, and the Ascend Network.

The delicious brunch was provided by Cookie Besties, part of the Melon Kitchen within 16 Tech. Participants shared they left with new connections, guidance in their careers, and potential job opportunities.
